Treasures of Ours, Treasured by Others — Journey of Korean Cultural Heritage National Palace Museum of Korea Until Sept. 25

Over 214,000 artifacts from Korea are currently known to be scattered around the globe, according to the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation. Many were looted or lost during the country’s tumultuous modern years marked by the 1910-45 Japanese colonial rule and the 1950-53 Korean War. The stars of the National Palace Museum of Korea’s ongoing special exhibition are some of these treasured properties that have been successfully restituted in recent decades. Displayed artifacts include Odaesan Copy of Annals of the Joseon Kingdom and Joseon-era Hemispherical Sundial.

Admission is free. Call (02) 37017500 for more information.
