Back to the Future: An Exploration of Contemporaneity in Korean Contemporary Art
National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul Until May 26, 2024
The ongoing exhibition, “Back to the Future,” highlights the national museum’s collection amassed from 2018 to 2022. A large number of these acquisitions, ranging from the late 1980s to 2010, have been produced by creatives who brought fresh perspectives to the Korean contemporary art world during the transformative 1990s, including Bahc Yi-so and Kim Beom. Key moments in contemporary art and the influence of changing socio-political landscapes on art forms are well encapsulated in this show.
Admission is free. Call (02) 37019500 for more information.
