Jeju Shinhwa World (JSW), a luxury integrated resort launched in 2018 on the southern resort island, is offering a set of year-end events featuring music concerts, fireworks and promotions.

Countdown concert

JSW will host a special music concert featuring Korea’s top musicians on Dec. 30 and 31.

Last year’s countdown concerts at JSW drew crowds of over 20,000 people.

This year, the event will be an even greater spectacle, showcasing a special lineup of artists and a bigger audience, according to JSW.

On Dec. 30, Korea’s popular R&B singer Wheesung, former 2NE1 member Sandara Park and popular Korean hip-hop duo Jinusean will hit the stage, raising expectations for group singalongs to a medley of hit songs.

The second day will stage female rapper Mirani, singers Hyorin, and Kim Jong-kook and hip-hop group Dynamic Duo which has enjoyed global popularity with the latest hit song “Smoke,” which went viral through a TikTok and Instagram challenge on the TV series “Street Woman Fighter 2.”

The event will also feature DJing performances by DJ Kite, DJ Mewloud on Dec. 30 and DJ Bass Drop on Dec. 31, as well as special fireworks show and street foods.

Tickets are available exclusively on Interpark at 66,000 won ($51) for a one-day pass and 88,000 won for a two-day pass. JSW guests and members of the resort complex will be given discounts at 44,000 won and 55,000 won, respectively, for the two types of tickets.

The resort complex also offers a special promotion dubbed “Adieu 2023,” including both accommodations and admissions to the countdown concert.

The promotion includes a stay at the resort complex, countdown concert

tickets and a drink voucher that can be exchanged for a wine or beer package at the resort’s lounge and bar.

More year-end promotions

Meanwhile, the resort complex offers more large-scale promotions

in accommodation, restaurants and entertainment facilities from Dec. 1 to 17 during the JSW Winter Fiesta.

Guests planning to stay in any of JWS’s four hotels and resorts — Landing, Shinhwa, Marriott and Somerset — between Dec. 2 and

April 30 can enjoy super early bird bookings, in which the promotion rate goes up along with the number of nights of the stay.

A reservation can be made for up to five nights. Guests wishing for a one-night stay are given a 10 percent discount, while those who stay for two, three, four and five nights are each given 20, 30, 40 and 50 percent discounts.

Several restaurants, coffee shops, and wellness and entertainment facilities within the resort complex will feature promotions and events.

The admissions to JSW’s amusement park and water park, both of which are the largest of their kind on the island, will offer admissions at discounted price, while visitors aged under 13 will be free of admission for the resort’s media exhibition.

Flagship stores and shopping areas at JSW will hold up to 70 percent of the discount, while a flea market will be held from Friday to Sunday every week.

Those who spend more than 300,000 won at the resort complex can participate in a lucky draw as a New Year’s gift. Prizes include a onenight stay at JSW’s Marriott hotel and Shinhwa resort, a lunch buffet for two people at the resort’s restaurant Sky on 5 Dining, and tickets to the premium cinema JSW Cine Lounge.

Located a 40-minute drive from the island’s airport, JSW in Seogwipo is a luxury resort complex that features five-star hotels and resorts with over 2,000 rooms, entertainment facilities, a shopping center and a foreigner-exclusive casino.

The resort complex provides a wide range of accommodation options catering to the needs of young and trendy travelers, families, businesspeople and sports lovers at reasonable prices.

The resort complex is also closely located to natural attractions, including beaches with crystal-clear, azure waters and the mysterious rocky forest Gotjawal, which are exclusively found on the scenic resort island.
