SK Signet to introduce EV chargers at Seoul E-Prix

SK Signet, a subsidiary of SK Inc., will participate as a sponsor of the 2022 Hana Bank Seoul E-Prix &Seoul Festa event and exhibit the latest electric vehicle chargers, according to the company, Wednesday.

The Seoul E-Prix is the last competition of the 2021-2022 season of Formula-E, the world’s largest electric car race.

SK Signet plans to open an exhibition hall in the Seoul Festa Brand Zone on the opposite side of Jamsil Main Stadium to expand customer experience opportunities for ultrafast EV charging and to promote its products at home and abroad.

“As an EV infrastructure operator for a sustainable future, we have prepared a PR booth to help people understand EV charging and to promote the convenience of ultra-fast charging. By doing so, we plan to contribute to the spread of EVs.” SK Signet CEO Shin Jung-ho said.

At this exhibition, SK Signet will exhibit a wide range of EV chargers, including 7 kilowatt (kW) slow chargers to 100kW, 175kW and 350kW chargers. Customers visiting the exhibition hall can also experience Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) products and portable chargers that can provide on-site charging services.

SK Signet will also give away prepaid cards for charging EVs and high-speed charging cables through hashtag events on social media. The SK Signet Pavilion will be held for five days from Aug. 10 to Aug. 14 of this month, during the 2022 Hana Bank Seoul E-Prix & Seoul Festa event.

SK Signet, which was acquired by SK Inc. in 2021, accounts for 50 percent of the superfast EV charger market share within the U.S.
